Library opening times:
Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 20:45
→ All users with a valid UVa/BUVa ID card can access the Library.
→ Library hours vary during holiday periods and will be posted beforehand.
We have adopted several special measures for use of the reading rooms and access to the main library collection:
We have reduced the capacity of the rooms to maintain the recommended social distance between reading spaces.
All rooms are for individual study (there are no group study rooms).
We have implemented a lending system for reading spaces (only users with a valid UVa/BUVa ID card can access the library).
Upon entering the library, present your UVa ID at the front desk, where you will be assigned a reading space.
There is no direct access to the library collection at this time. The library staff will locate the documents the user wishes to consult or borrow.
All borrowed material will remain in quarantine for 72 hours after being retuned to the library.
In all library facilities, respect and follow what is posted on signs and the verbal instructions of library staff. If you have any questions, please let us know.
To keep the library spaces safe, users must comply with the following hygiene measures:
Hand hygiene: hydroalcoholic gel dispensers are available at the entrance.
Use of face masks is mandatory.
Maintain 1.5 meters (5 ft) of social distance.
