INIA: Instituto Nacional de Investigación y Tecnología Agraria y Alimentaria The National Centre for Agricultural and Food Science Technology (Instituto Nacional de Investigación y Tecnología Agraria y Alimentaria, INIA), is part of the Spanish National Research Council (Agencia Estatal Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, CSIC), a national and international reference institution for agri-food research and forestry science and technology. Its objective is to support sustainable economic growth and societal well-being through research and innovation in these areas.

IUFOR: University Institute for Research in Sustainable Forest Management A joint research and development initiative formed by CIFOR-INIA and the University of Valladolid School of Agricultural Engineering. This forum for scientific and technical cooperation engages in joint activities involving coordinated research, innovation, development, dissemination and technical advice. Areas of activity include the evaluation and conservation of forest resources, modelling and sustainable forest management, forestry and forest management and biodiversity conservation.
SECF: Spanish Society of Forestry Sciences Created in 1991 to promote the study and progress of forestry sciences and practices in Spain, to promote the scientific and technical improvement of its members, to stimulate cooperation among them and to promote national and international exchanges among entities and specialists in relevant fields of action. The Society is composed of researchers and professionals in forestry or related fields, as well as companies and entities whose objectives include forestry work and activities in the private or public sectors.

CIFOR: Center for International Forestry Research Non-profit scientific organization that conducts evidence-based research on the world's most pressing forest and landscape management challenges.
EFI: European Forest Institute Internationally recognized entity founded on a treaty signed by the European Member States. It provides relevant information for policy and decision makers in European countries in relation to forests and the forest industry sector, conducts research in those areas, organizes and participates in scientific meetings, and organizes and disseminates knowledge based on research results.
